The Richmond Hastings store reported that Warren's book Grateful Dead 365 is their top seller by this author. Hastings will have Warren's books at the Leland Friday and in the Gorge Park Pavilion for the Music Festival.
Some of her other books include:
- Cowboy: How Hollywood Invented the Wild West
- Shake, Rattle and Roll: The Founders of Rock and Roll Children and all ages
- How the West Was Worn
- Honky Tonk Heroes and Hillbilly Angels: The Pioneers of Country & Western Music Children and all ages. This book was purchased for all Wayne County elementary and middle schools by the C.A.P.E. grant
- Musicians in Tune: 75 Contemporary Musicians Discuss the Creative Process
- and not surprising with these accomplishments, The Working Woman's Guide to Managing Stress.
George-Warren received a Grammy nomination (for Best Historical Recording) in 2001 for co-producing Rhino's five-CD box set, R-E-S-P-E-C-T: A Century of Women in Music. She also co-produced the three-CD set The Rolling Stone Women in Rock Collection (Razor & Tie) and a series of CDs with the Lifetime network. In addition, she serves as an archivist/curator for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, and a curator for the GRAMMY Museum. Warren has many other achievements and indeed is a most remarkable author and woman.
The Autry Foundation will also provide free to the Festival two Autry movies: South of the Border at dark Friday and Mule Train, at dark Saturday. These movies will be outdoors on the big screen weather permitting or inside the Pavilion at 8:30. Lawn chairs welcome! Peanuts courtesy of Texas Roadhouse.
