The clear leader in near vision restoration®

About Us

Presbia is a medical device company focused on the development of the presbyopia-correcting Presbia Flexivue Microlens™ - an innovative solution for the common age-related loss of the ability to read or focus on near objects. The 3 mm diameter lens is implanted in a corneal pocket created by a femtosecond laser.

This solution responds to the market's need for a surgical procedure that is safe, effective, quick, and easy to learn and practice. Also, the Presbia Flexivue Microlens™ solution relies on surgical equipment already in use at most eye surgery centers, requiring no significant additional capital investment for the surgeon’s practice. Most distinguishing, the Presbia Flexivue Microlens™ is reversible, meaning that the lens can be removed and replaced without any residual effect on the eye.

The Presbia Flexivue Microlens™ has received the CE mark for the European Economic Area, allowing the lens to be commercially available in over 30 countries across Europe. Presbia is an ISO 13485:2012 approved company.

The Presbia Flexivue Microlens™ is currently available in the following countries:
